BBV Systems offers you various file types that are helpful in preparing your project.

  • CAD format (2D dwg files) The DWG format is a manufacturer-specific file format for 2D/3D design data and metadata. Like other CAD formats, such as DXF, DGN or the ISO-standardized STEP, the DWG format is also used to digitally save construction plans for machines and other designs. The format supports the arrangement of objects in a three-dimensional coordinate system. This means that not only 2D construction plans can be created, but also 3D renderings of the planned objects.
  • Open BIM format (3D-step files) STEP stands for Standard for the Exchange of Product Data and is a manufacturer-independent format. The format is also known as ISO 10303. STEP is an ISO standard for the exchange of 3D model and 3D print data. Not only the basic geometry, but also a complete 3D model can be saved in a STEP file.
  • Closed BIM format (3D rfa files)

    RFA files usually belong to Revit from Autodesk. RFA files are data files associated with the Revit application developed by Autodesk. Autodesk Revit is a commercial building information modeling (BIM) CAD application for storing building families. Revit uses RFA files to store multiple views of a 2D or 3D object from multiple angles. RFA family files can be created with Autodesk family templates saved in the RFA file format.
