Arge Fair construction pit north
Short description
The FAIR (Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research) construction project in Darmstadt included a new international accelerator facility for research with antiprotons and ions.
The project
The construction pits have depths of up to 20 m and were secured by means of back-anchored, combined shoring. During the construction period, the groundwater was lowered by up to 7 m. Due to the size and complexity of the construction project, optimizations in the dimensioning and execution of the shoring system were necessary. Not least thanks to the use of the patented BBV-multibond® stacking anchors, which, thanks to their innovative design, allow all strands to be tensioned at the same time, it was possible to implement these optimizations.
Services in detail
- Temporary anchor
- Semi-permanent anchors
- Permanent anchor standard
- Multi-strand anchor BBV-multibond®
