Litjsundbrücke
Short description
As part of the Imarsund project, a new road connection was built on the coast of Norway, west of Trondheim.
The project
In addition to approx. 1,000 m of road construction, the project included a 580 m long steel composite bridge (Imarsund Bridge) and a 300 m long prestressed concrete bridge (Litjsund Bridge).
The prestressed concrete bridge is named after the Litjsund it crosses. It consists of 3 fields and has a span of 160 m in the main field. Both pillars were erected in the water.
The superstructure with a box-girder cross-section was cantilevered, the length of the sections is 5 m and the superstructure was prestressed using BBV L12 tendons, steel quality 1860 N / mm².
This project is the first application of the European BBV approval ETA-05/0202.
