Moorhusen railway overpass
Short description
BBV Systems supports the construction of the new railroad overpass in Moorhusen.
The project
Deutsche Bahn (DB) is investing in a strong railway in Schleswig-Holstein and modernizing the infrastructure. In Moorhusen near Wilster, the railroad overpass "EÜ L 235" along the Elmshorn - Westerland (Sylt) marshland line is being renovated at a cost of around 5.8 million euros. The new bridge is scheduled to go into operation in late summer 2025.
Services in detail
BBV Systems was commissioned to manufacture and supply 44 Multibond anchors as part of the construction of the excavation pits for the bridge abutments. Due to their length of up to 63 m, the anchors are delivered to the construction site on drums and installed with the aid of a drum drainage rack. In the course of the suitability test, the 3-stage BBV-Multibond L11 and BBV-Multibond L12 anchors will be subjected to test loads of between 1125 KN and 1409 KN.
