BBV Systems Co., Ltd has received a major order for strand and bar tensioning work.
The project
The client is the Italian-Thai Development Public Co., Ltd.
The project in Bangkok consists of a double-track elevated railway line 32 km in length with 8 double-deck stations. The superstructure was built in segmental construction, while the stations were built with prestressed prefabricated girders in a U-shape.
The BBV Systems work was divided into the delivery, installation, tensioning and grouting of the tendons in the precast plant 100 km north of Bangkok and prestressing steel work on the construction site on the cross members along the main line and the stations.
The total output amounts to over 20,000 bar tendons, type BB Bars, quality St 930/1080 N / mm2 and over 4,000 strand tendons of type BBV L 9 to L 22.
The construction work started in July 2014 and has been completed since the end of 2016.
