The new Svinesund Bridge on the E6 is on the border between Sweden and Norway near Stömstrad.
The project
The box steel superstructure crosses a concrete arch, which was erected in cantilever construction, by means of temporary pylons and temporary stay cables. BBV Systems delivered these stay cables prefabricated to the construction site, monitored the forces in the stay cables using BRIMOS, connected the arch and the superstructure with EMR19 tendons and installed vertical external tendons, type EMR 9, 12 and 15 in 5 piers.
