The project
Location and access
The underground car park is accessed via a single-lane ramp on the south side of the building. The slope of the ramp is 23%.
Object description
The underground car park is a single-storey, roughly 12-year-old reinforced concrete structure with a total of 47 parking spaces. 44 parking spaces are double parkers (duplex parkers). The duplex parking pits are designed as a white tank, as this area is located in the groundwater. The duplex parking system is the parking lift system 440-185 from Wöhr Auto Parksysteme. There are 2 different sizes installed, for 2 or for 4 cars.
Repair concept
During structural investigations it was found that the reinforced concrete structure was not protected by a coating. Increased, critical chloride levels were found in the floor slab of the tramline, the parking spaces and the duplex parking pits. In some cases, the rising components also had increased, critical chloride contents. Due to the chloride content found, repairs were necessary. The repair principle "K" (KKS) was chosen. The selected titanium strip anodes (5,000m) were installed vertically in slots and then grouted with conductive mortar.
