BBV Soil Nails
Here it's steep uphill for your construction project: Our soil nails provide reliable hold on steep slopes, embankments, protective walls. Their flexible use is particularly helpful when space is at a premium. Choose short-term or permanent soil nails.
PROPERTIES OF THE BBV SOIL NAILS
BBV soil nails are made of reinforcing steel with B500B threaded ribs, approved by the building authorities, in the following diameters: 16 mm, 20 mm, 25 mm, 28 mm, 32 mm, 40 mm and 50 mm. They are suitable for both temporary (BBV short-term soil nails) and permanent use (BBV permanent soil nails).
In soil nailing, the surrounding building ground itself, by increasing the shear strength and shear stiffness of the soil, is used to secure the ground. Nails are installed slackly, and the forces are absorbed only with the movement of the terrain jump to be secured.
TEMPORARY AND PERMANENT
Analogous to the grouted anchors, a distinction is made for soil nails between temporary use (t ≤ 2 years, BBV short-term soil nail) and permanent use (t > 2 years, BBV permanent soil nail). BBV short-term soil nails are designed with a simple corrosion protection of cement stone overlay. In the case of BBV permanent soil nails, the steel support member is provided with a corrosion protection system consisting of a plastic ribbed tube injected with grout.
